First, consider how you are planning on using the walker. If you plan on putting your baby in it and leaving him/her in there for unattended periods of time, a baby walker may not be the right choice for you. Because of the mobility factor, baby walkers can be dangerous for unsupervised children-accidents like falling down stairs or falling over backwards can happen. If you want something to entertain your child while keeping him/her safe, think about getting a baby bouncer or an entertainment station instead. These are non-mobile and much safer to leave you child in for long periods of time. Though walker safety standards have improved dramatically over the past decade or so, it is still not a completely secure option.

If you do decide to purchase a baby walker, make sure the one you buy is a match for your child’s age, weight, and height. This relates to purchasing baby bouncers and stationary activity centres as well; making sure your child matches the manufacturer’s recommendations will only prevent accidents.

To cut down on the possibility of falling down stairs, find a baby walker whose frame is larger than the doorways in your home. This way, the baby has no possibility of leaving a room, and cannot wander into potentially dangerous hallways.

Also, find a baby walker whose top frame is smaller than the base. This reduces the risk of your baby accidentally overturning in the walker, since it is more balanced and less likely to fall over.

Examine the walker of your choice carefully for any sharp edges, hinges, or small pieces that might potentially cause trouble. Baby proofing your walker (or any other baby equipment, such as baby bouncers) is important; do not assume that just because it was made for babies, its baby proofed.

There are a couple of regulations that any baby walker you buy should meet. Ensure that the walker you are buying meets the Product Safety Standard for Baby Walkers and is accredited by the Juvenile Products Manufacturers’ Association. A little extra guarantee of product quality never hurt anybody!

With these tips in mind, you are now fully equipped to go out and buy your baby a walker. Just remember that walkers are not substitutes for crawling or learning how to walk properly. Though they can be helpful in increasing mobility, you should not put your baby in the walker for indeterminable periods of time. Always, always have your attention on the baby if they are in a walker, as accidents are more prone to happen when babies are up and about.

Surely, you might have already seen some of those baby walkers, which is a kid’s walking device that has a base with wheels and seat made of soft cloth right at the middle. That’s where the baby is supposed to be placed and he is surrounded by a tray, which has some toys attached so that he can play while walking.

Parents might think that it is necessary for their infants to use walkers for baby so that they can learn how to walk faster. However, this is all myth. In fact, researches prove otherwise. When a study is conducted involving kids using a baby walker and those who don’t, there were no notable improvements in the motor development skill of the subjects.

Parents buy walkers for baby because they believe that it is a good form of entertainment and exercise for their small children. While this can be true, parents are advised to be very careful when putting their children in an infant walker.

Because of the mobility provided by the wheels, the kid can move around the floor quite fast. And that puts them at risk of bumping into something or worse, falling into the stairs. The American Academy of Pediatrics had declared walkers for baby to be unsafe. So if you still want to use it, you have to be on your toes attending to your child all the time.

However, many experts say that walkers for baby might actually hinder the natural progression of a child’s motor skills. A baby would try to sit, then crawl, stand, and walk. A baby walker can accommodate kids as young as 6 months old – these children haven’t learned how to sit by themselves and yet, they’re trying to walk. The implication of this could actually be slower development of motor abilities for your kid.

Baby walkers have been around for many decades, and many consumers might remember using them ask kids. Now as parents and caregivers, it is their time to hunt and shop for baby walkers. These items are fantastic for promoting early walking muscles to develop. They also give babies the opportunities to explore their environment and get used to the motion of walking. There are some great ones to view that high light some of the pros and cons associated with each model.

Graco mobile entertainer is a product that is easy to assemble making it handy for parents. It is able to hold baby`s attentions pretty well and keep them busy for as long as they are in there! It is a stable item, however it is tricky to store and big to move around. This walker is ideal for early walkers.

Chicco little driver walker- baby sketching is a nice new model to chose. It features an easy to clean material with great support for babies of all ages. It is very lightweight which makes it easy for parent and child. With a simple assembly feature, it makes it perfect for anyone who just wants to set it up and go. This walker has some animal sounds that create a soothing experience for baby as they motion around.

Chicco DJ baby walker is a walker that had many bad reviews. Many people claimed that it was hard to clean which meant that it added frustration to the routine of the day, it is also heavy to move around, that is a problem for any parent who needs to carry it from place to place and for the baby to even move it around. Some parents found that this walker was hard to assemble and not as entertaining for their babies as other models were.

The Chicco Sea dreams walker seemed to have nice reviews. It contains music and rhythm features, padded seats that are washable for everyone`s convenience. It also folds flat so that it can be stored easily and taken in the car for quick mobile transportation. There are three heights to pick from because not every baby is the same size and it has brake pads for safety. The seat has a liner that comes out for cleaning.

Kolcraft tiny steps two in one walker paradise is a model with mixed reviews. Some people complained that this walker is heavy and seems uncomfortable for the baby. It is easy to clean and offers good support for the baby once they are in there. It is easy to assemble and is geared for infants. This walker provides infants with a great playtime experience.

It is important to note, that walkers have been banned in some countries due to accidents occurring near stairs. It is important that if you get a walker, that all stair entrances are blocked with gates. Most people have gates at staircases anyways, so having a walker moving about in the house is probably not an issue for most.

Babies love to move about, so letting them run wild in the house is a great way for them to explore their home and discover the motions of walking and getting around. Muscles will be strengthened as your little one move about. The added features on some walkers add to the playtime experience.

A baby walker is a tool that can help baby learning to walk. This tool is usually used by babies who start to learn to walk. In this case, the use of this tool is still become pro and cons among the professionals.

In the United states the safety of using this tool has been become the argumentation since a long time ago. Thus, the design of this tool changes from time to time. For instance, bigger size is designed in order the baby walk trough the door.

Unfortunately, since there are still some accidents caused by a baby walker, the production of this tool is stopped in the United States. But, there are some countries that produce this tool to provide the baby a tool in order to make them learn to walk.

There are some reasons why this is favorable by many people. This tool is practical. You just sit your baby in it and your baby will be able to walk around. By using this tool parents can save their energy.

However, the reality says the different thing. According to the research done in the United States, there are babies brought to the hospital because they had accidents with their baby walkers.

Here are some accidents caused by the use of a baby walker.
- The baby rolls on the stairs. This accident can result broken bones and serious injuries on the head.
- Something hot spills on the body of the baby. When he is sitting in a this tool, he can reach things that could endanger him. For example, he can reach a cup of hot coffee on the table.
- The baby drowns. This occurs if unconsciously the baby slides (by using his baby walker) into a swimming pool, bath tub, or toilet and then plunged. This is very dangerous, is not it?
- The baby is able to reach dangerous objects. With a baby walker, babies are able to reach dangerous objects such as scissors, knives, or forks which lay on the table easily.
- The baby gets pinched. The baby could be trapped his leg and ankle when he is walking in the surface which is not flat. In addition, his hand can also be caught while reaching for the door opening.

Furthermore, the use of a baby walker is not very good for the baby. It only involves the calf muscles. Yet, in order to be able to walk correctly, thigh muscle function and pelvic muscles also need to be trained. Thus this would be not very good for the baby which stars to learn to walk.

Moreover, the use of a baby walker is not able to help the baby to walk. Psychologically, the baby will be lazy to learn to walk by himself. This is because he is used to walk on the tool that allows him to move everywhere without making a hard effort.

In conclusion, a baby walker is not good for your baby. Beside it is very dangerous, it makes the baby is lazy to learn to walk. Thus, it is better for you not using this tool.
